Arrived today!
Just a quick review.
Avarage appearance, and quality, nothing special. Threads are ok, but some chips noticable. The zoom mechanic is very scratchy, a little lube would be good. Unfortunatly the lens is plastic, and came very dirty.
Current reading with fully charged sanyo cell :
high ~ 1.4A -> approx 40klux @1m
low ~ 0.33A
The lens is not a good one, the flood state is very ringy, and in the throw state there is a brighter part of the spot in the centre, the spot isn't so uniform. Overall it is a good host for modding.

Yeah- it's much more stable- I have a post with a new glass lens 18650 aspheric twist with a nicer host than most that's Cree Q5 .
Ebay seller says it runs 1 amp on high mode so typical 250 yards or so I'm guessing maximum throw with tight visible in air beam against night sky.
