A look at high end multimeters

I’m a Fluke fan also. I got mine from my dad which he used for work. I would never pay that much for a DMM, but it sure is nice. And it will probably be handed down again to one of my kids.

Fluke do make new meters once in a while, but not often:
Fluke 87V Max: a slight updated version of the 87V
Fluke 233: Display can be moved away from the meter and still show the result.
Fluke 3000 series: Main meter can link to a couple of simple meters and show results for all.

No brand makes new high-end meters very often and I would not be surprised if some of the other meters also are 13+ years old designs. The newest designs are probably Chauvin Arnoux and Metrix and they have not fixed all the bugs yet (I have found a couple of bugs in their protocol, but they will be supported in TC).
