Agreed, “only” XP-G but for close work I´m very interested in that all-flood ability

Nice find and the reviews look half decent. There appear to be open vents to allow a small amount of heat exchange with metal mounting parts inside… hard to tell. Only XPG so it probably wont get hot enough to destroy itself in the plastic housing. I have a build request for a headlamp with white and red LED’s. This might be the one to mod.

But is that flood LED only a generic 3W LED? hard to tell from the pic…

Fenix HP25 if you want something similar with higher quality and that uses AA's.
