Ok, forget what I said yesterday. This thing is impressive! (I must have still been half asleep yesterday morning.) I got to play with it some more last night and this morning and got some comparison shots this morning with my Dongrui All-920. I was in a bit of a rush to get these shots as the sun was about to come up. My cheap point & shoot camera was set to "Nighttime Landscape" mode which ended up with settings ISO 400, f/3.1, and 1/2 sec. exposure (except the short hotspot shots against the shed which were 1/3 sec.). White balance was mistakenly left on "Auto" (I forgot that I could change this in the menu.) The shots are definitely brighter than they really appeared, but are at least the same across each photo. Each light was using a Tenergy protected 2600mAh 18650 (Jacob's at 4.14v, Dongrui's at 4.17v). As stated previously, my Jacob pulls 2.35A, and my Dongrui has been tested to pull 1.96A from a 2400mAh Trustfire Flame at 3.92v. I didn't test tailcap currents this morning as I was in a rush and now realize the Dongrui should be rechecked due to the TF flame's voltage being so low - I bet on a fully charged cell it's up into the low 2's alongside the Jacob.
In these shots the shed is estimated at 150 to 200 feet away:
Jacob A60:
Dongrui All-920:
Mouseover with above shots, mouse out = Jacob, mouse over = Dongrui:
Now I backed up about another 150 feet, so now 250 to 300 feet to the shed:
Jacob A60:
Dongui All-920:
Mouseover with above shots, mouse out = Jacob, mouse over = Dongrui (sorry, the camera position changed with the Dongrui and you can see the sun is starting to rise):
Closer view of the hotspot, shed approximately 50 feet away:
Jacob A60:
Dongrui All-920:
Mouseover with above shots, mouse out = Jacob, mouse over = Dongrui:
The Jacob appears to throw further than the Dongrui with a better cool white tint (the Dongui has a bit of purple in it - not usually noticeable until I compare it to others). According to the last shots on the shed, it appears that the Dongrui is focused better and they appear about the same for brightness. Perhaps my Jacob could use some focus adjustment. Oh, and I cleaned the Jacob's lens this morning and that dark spot in the hotspot I mentioned previously seems to be gone now.
