Acebeam Three Blinks of Death (video)

At 3.5V idle voltage under load the voltage drops likely a lot down below 3V

The problem nly reliable way to find out at which voltage it blinks is on a power supply

Also it may be possible if the firmware detects low voltage once in turbo it keeps blinking even if you switch modes

You say sporadic, that’s just the case if you did no proper measurements or detect a reliable pattern which causes it

Yes, I usually do top mine off around 3.6 (not under load) Last night I sucked down a 30Q till I got the 3 blinks of death on my D4 several times. I kept double clicking to re engage everything the cell had left. I ended up at 3.1 volts when the cell was not under load. So I am sure I was getting close to 2.7 or so. I don’t know what Emisar or TK set the drop down voltage at when it blinks 3 times and then goes to into regulation at 150 lumens.

Well after watching the video and seeing Acebeam setting there LVP at 3.7V It just turned me off from purchasing the H30. I figured with the 21700 cell it would get great run times. Why bother using a higher capacity cell if there going to set there LVP so high. The HM65R run times are so full of it that that one is off my list now as well. I am looking for a 21700 cell headlamp that I can run for hours on the low and mid levels. Back to looking at the Nitecore HC35 and fireflies LP47. I have the H30 and Wizard Pro but like I said I want a higher capacity 21700 cell headlamp.

What’s your opinion om the Fireflies PL47G2?

With the multiple emitter choices and Andril UI makes it a great headlamp. I Am actually purchasing this one on payday. I like being able to set the output just where I need it. You have to purchase the head strap and magnetic tail cap separately but its still half the price of the H30 Acebeam.
