There used to be the programmable AK-16 for a couple of dollars more that could take CR123A or AA, but KD shows it as sold out.
The tint on the AKOray K-106 is definitely cool white. I took the LED out and replaced it with a neutral(ish) XP-G from KD. Lost a little throw, but a nice light if you don't mind doing just a little soldering.

I tried to get one and ended up with a regular one from focal and gave up on the idea .
You might want to pm bluebeam or do a search with his name and akoray I think he bought the Akoray109 cr123 version .
Sorry to sound like a mean guy but I hate the veiled threats to leave BLF ...Pannaloonie seems like a nice guy and I've enjoyed some of his comments ...But every time i see someone say something like that I think ..oh please just do it..!!! DX sells a really nice ramping drop in for cheap you can take the driver out and put it in anything you want. I upgraded mine to an R5 it works great.
So i got mine just in time!

The best thing would be a programmable circuit board with 3 mode but i've never seen it...
Something like the UF-2100 with a programmable 3 amp driver would be a real winner.
So, has the programmable one showed up anywhere since last fall?
Or is there anything comparable out there?
