Interesting thing is that the price listed for 11/11 transactions is $18.88. 85% of this happens to be the current price of $16.05. So it looks like he marked up the price intending to offer a discount of 15, but ended up giving a discount of 85. Poor Weilan.

The tracking number he gave never worked, now I’m counting the days until the inevitable dispute.

Since he’s taken our money, given us fake tracking numbers, doesn’t answer messages and has not shipped anything. How do I report a fraud case?

1. Go to Alibaba Manufacturer Directory - Suppliers, Manufacturers, Exporters & Importers
2. Sign in with your registered Alibaba.com email and password
3. Complete the necessary information and submit

Case handling procedure:

1. Collect evidence from the buyer.
Depending on case type, different evidence may be required such as below:
a) Payment document (bank slip, etc.)
i. Payment via bank transfer (T/T): Must have bank stamp/chop
ii. Payment via Western Union: Must include MTCN
iii. Payment via online banking: Screenshot of the entire transaction page. Must include URL and payment status
iv. Complete correspondence between both parties
b) Delivery documents
c) Contract or Proforma Invoice
d) Third-party inspection documents
e) Photos of products received including delivery package

2. Case substantiated.
a) Alibaba.com will request the supplier to submit evidence to counter the complaint within 2-3 working days.

3. Solution.
a) If we consider the complaint to be a normal trade dispute, we will inform supplier of the dispute and ask them to contact you within 3-5 days.
b) If we consider the complaint to be valid (the supplier is suspected of fraudulent activities), we will suspend the supplier’s account for 15 days.
c) If the complaint is not resolved within the suspension period; the supplier’s account will be terminated and blacklisted. Buyers who filed complaints resulting in the removal of a Gold Supplier from Alibaba.com will be eligible for a payout from our Fair Play Fund.

Penalty points incurred under serious dispute cases

Note:

  1. The above deduction shall be applicable to circumstances under which the party under complaint is liable.
  2. Points shall be incurred against the seller where no product is received or product is not matched with contracted product descriptions, whereas points shall be incurred against the buyer where no payment is received.
  3. No points shall be deducted against the party under complaint where the complaining party voluntarily withdraws the complaint before the case is closed.
    4. Interpretation of the sub-category of transaction dispute:

No delivery upon receiving payment: The seller does not deliver product to the buyer by any reason upon receiving payment.
Illusory delivery: The seller presents forged evidence of delivery (such as invoice, waybill, bill of lading) but no product has been delivered indeed.
No action after receiving returned product: No further action to resolve dispute by the seller (such as refusal or unreasonable delay in delivery of a new product or refund, or unreachable) after the buyer has returned the product.
No payment upon receiving product: The buyer undertakes to pay upon receiving the product, but refuses to pay in full or in part, unreasonably postpones payment or is unreachable after receiving the product.
Serious short of quantity agreed: The quantity of the product received is apparently less than that agreed by both parties, or the loss incurred by the shortage is significant.
Counterfeit: The product received is not the agreed branded product as the buyer complaints, and the seller cannot provide proof of authorized dealer or proof of its own brand.

Seriously unmatched(quality/category): The characteristics (such as material, ingredients, or category) of the product received by the buyer are seriously unmatched with the agreed descriptions, or the product malfunctions or is unusable.

All I wanted was my 2 cheap Ultrafire flashlights, I didn’t care about the cheap CatchFire™ battery/charger combo. That 502b sells for $5-6 all the time. Stores always put a few things on sale cheap (loss leaders) trying to get you in there to buy the pricey stuff. I didn’t abuse his sale by only ordering one of each. Most stores limit sale items and I wanted to make sure fellow BLFers were able to get a good deal too.

11.11 is like a Chinese Black Friday. Cheap prices everywhere. Cheap Hugsbys too.

Seller responded to dispute. My order is in refund process, no question asked. Seller is expecting this to happen. Time for feedback.

In my case Weilan didn’t fulfill my order and Aliexpress cancelled it automatically. I have received the refund in last week but due to the fluctuation of currency conversion I even lose a little. Can I still give any feedback to them?

I don’t know whether I have to open dispute now. I still have 28 days for delivery according to Ali.
My package was sent thru ordinary mail which is known for lack of tracking feature. Many sellers in Ali appear to use the same postal service for order less than <$7-10.
Even with registered mail, it usually takes 3-4 weeks normally, so I don’t really have a case for dispute yet.
Some research on the net, many Russian & Indian fellows seem to have more experience with this so-called “China Small Packet Plus”, which is usually also called “Yanwen Express” and considered fake, but some of them actually waited long enough & finally received the package after 1 month. From the package they said it was actually China Post all along. Some info indicates that Yanwen is a logistic company in cooperation with China Post to provide customized shipping at a lower cost.
Actually the Russian tracker list Yanwen as a legit service.

I guess I’ll keep my fingers crossed. If not delivered within the 30 days, then I will have a stronger case to start a dispute.

I just got my Hugsby XP-1, really like the quality so far but i want to mod it, have any one tried yet? i tried to open the head by desoldering the small bumps of solder that connects the driver to the body but i failed to get the driver out :frowning: i guess it is glued in.
The driver is 11mm.
An Efest 10440 does not work, no light at all :frowning: but did not damage it.

I want to get a XP-L V6 on a sinkpad in there and a different driver but no luck so far……problem is i like my hugsby to much to trash it if i damage it by trying to hard, i need to buy some more so i can experiment :slight_smile:

just checked my order details, mine is shipped and tracking number is provided. No need for any actions on my side so no problem here.
