Thorfire has really bumped up their price on Amazon.ca in the last few months. They still have discounts but you got to play the long game with them.
I’ve gotten some great deals but it takes patience.

It’s funny you say vipon went full retard, Vipon quit working for me earlier this month after an update. It was right after the lumintop top flashlight specials, I got the both codes had not copied them into Amazon and then I could not get back into vipon
I just noticed it working in the last day or so.
A “900 lumen”, 18650 zoomy that has USB Recharging, Side switch, Stepless dimming, Magnet tailcap, Batteries included, polished aluminum or SS strike bezel.
That’s quite the feature set for such a cheap light, I wonder just how bad it is.
The USB recharging could be an issue if it’s not reliable. It could be a smoking hot deal… literally.
Maybe they’re just having a fire sale.

It comes in a SST-20 95-CRI version, but it is NOT on sale. I own the SST-20 version and like it for close-quarters indoor work. (However, the flashing at the top and bottom of the ramp cycle is annoying.) FWIW, I prefer the higher-lumen (albeit lower-CRI), higher-capacity, 18650-driven SkilHunt H03 for outdoor work.

When is prime day again?
According to an internet search,
Prime Day "almost certainly [will] happen in mid-July."
I bought two of these back in December and am not impressed:
- The red LED pushes the main LED off center.
- The red LED beacon can’t be avoided in the mode sequence.
- The side switch is extremely easy to accidentally activate and, IIRC, it can’t be locked out by unscrewing the tail cap.
I gave one to my wife, because she prefers rechargeable lights. I never use the one that I kept.
YMMV.

Shame that I’m using FF only because it sucks only marginally less than everything else.
Was getting unbearably slow, ditched the regular version and installed an older version of portable instead.
Had nightmares with quantum, but might just try that because new “features” of websites just f’n break with older browsers. High-Quality Web Design, I’m sure…
