An Amazon (US) Lightening Deal starts for the Thorfire VG15S starting at 2:15 pm EDT, July 4th. It is currently listed at $21.50 with a $3.00 coupon. I paid $16.12 during a Lightening deal in March. Here is the VG15S manual (a PDF download).

The color temperature is approximately 5500 K 6000 - 6500K and the flashlight has mode memory. Turbo mode steps down to High after 3 minutes. In Turbo mode, mine gets warm but never too hot to touch. The only real complaint I have about my VG15s is that there is an approximately 1/2 second delay between FireFly mode and Low mode, and approximately a 1/4 second delay between Low and Medium. That is to say, you 1/2 press the button and there is a conspicuous delay between mode changes.
I cannot help but compare this flashlight to my BLF A6 siince the A6, for me, is the gold standard in 18650 tube flashlights. The A6 has a nicer finish (IMHO), better performance, more color temperature options, and more mode options than the VG15S. BangGood now regularly offers A6s from both their Chinese and US stores for under $20. Recently, Bilakos10 provided a BangGood coupon code that brought A6 price down to $17.50 at the Chinese store. (That code is no longer valid.) My point is, the VG15S is a decent flashlight, but there are probably better values available.
Update: Fin17 is currently offering a coupon code for the A6 that brings the price down to $17.50!
Update2: With the coupon, the Lightening Deal price on the VG15S is $13.12. You have to checkout before you see the coupon savings. This deal will be available until 8:15 pm EDT, or until they run out of flashlights.
Update3: My questions to ThorfireDirect about the VG15S:
Is the VG15S crenelated bezel aluminum, stainless steel, or some other metal? How many amps does the LED draw during Turbo Mode? What is the LED's color temperature? Thanks!
