Amazon Deal Alerts & Discussion Thread

Mine has that too. It looks like they never cleaned the lens and then pressed it in by hand with a glove on. I saw a few Amazon reviews say the same. Pretty crappy QA, but it doesn’t affect the performance, thankfully.

The UV light in my bug zapper went out...

So I ordered another bug zapper and received it yesterday.

Total price:

$13.59 before tax.

I don't know how great this new bug zapper is (there's not a whole lot of feedback on Amazon), but the price was right.

Now all I gotta do is find my side-cutting pliers to cut a lot of the plastic.

This is the kind of bag that is good for holding your flashlight, batteries and electronics under your car seat, to keep them cool and undamaged, under the seat is the coolest place in the car.

This insulated soft lunch bag is $4.25 after coupon and discount code.

I wonder what this means…from the description:
Dirty, heat-resistant, durable and leak-proof.”

:smiling_imp:

I think it means someone's English isn't all that great.

Lunch bag under the seat? not a bad idea.

Back in the day when cars were cars I could lay a 3 D-cell Maglite along the space between the driver’s seat and the car door. Doubled as a flashlight and self-defense tool.

Now I can’t even fit a tiny umbrella in that space.

Indeed, thanks!

I just got the 10Ah power bank. I doubt that the rating is accurate. The thing is at least 20% smaller and lighter than others I have with the same rating…
But, yes, it was quite cheap…

You mean back when cars were boats and parking spaces were 15 feet wide?

KuoH

Yup - back when I was driving my dad’s 1960 Edsel

It seems my links aren’t always working lately, but here goes -
Seems Amazon has a series of commercial flashlight. I guess they only light up during TV commercials ?

Your link worked!

By the way, if you want more lumens, there is a 250 lumen version for about double the price.

Hmmmm.

Interesting find.

Seems awfully big for something that takes a ’123, no?

And just finding out (reviews) that it takes a ’123 was a chore in itself.

The linked unit takes a C-cell. The more powerful unit referred to takes the 123 cell.

Ah, so more mix’n’match reviews dumped in the bucket, eh?

Hate when they do that…

As do I. REALLY muddies the water.

And they seem to do this way too often…

Yeah, as much as I like Amazon, mix'n'match reviews are terrible.

There is a sort of workaround for the problem, but it's not perfect.
