For me, same deal also applies to the gold WK03.
Ultimately, thatās what I want mine for, to just cover a gate area, so shouldnāt be a problem.
Funny thing is, I checked a new(?) listing on vipon, and it showed the hidden box, not the usual revealed code and āyou already used this codeā or anything, but when I tried getting another one, the code was rejected.
Oh well.
The powerfail doodads came back and did have new valid codes, so maybe it was a reissue vs extension.
You could always get an actual attic fan, but they can be a bit pricy for the good ones.

or maybe

There are cheaper brands, but I dunno if Iād trust emā¦
The problem is I donāt want to cut a bigger opening on the exterior wall. Any large fan would be pushing air through a straw sort to speak
Well, to get air to circulate you need openings. There is actually a formula that tells you how much venting you need for a specific square footage.
Ideally the vents are setup low like soffit vents and high like peak vents or those round ones high up on the roof.
This allows convection to do all of the work. Allowing, when done right, to allow air to move all through the attic.
If you donāt have enough access to outside air, there is not much to be gained by just blowing the hot air around inside the attic. Same with just blowing air in the direction of a vent⦠If you canāt pull in cooler air from somewhere.
Agreed.
Also if the venting of the cooler air is very close to the fan and can deliver the volume the fan is capable of moving, that section of air will dominate the flow.
However if another source is less constricted say on the other side of the attic it may give you what you want.
But have to wonder if that air is closer to the floor of the attic, does it still pull heat away from above?
Proper Eve vents and top of roof vent (Peak) should achieve chimney effect without fans.
Really bottom line is if the ceiling insulation between the attic and lower living space is adequate, the heat in attic should not effect living space.
If you are trying to keep contents of attic at a lower temp, that is another kettle of fish.
JMHO
I am really honored that I get so much attention. But to be clear. I have several small vents. I only have 1 fan set up to pull internal hot air to 1 vent. Goal is to suck or move air from all the other vents through the attic then out 1 vent. Other vents will still function as usual.
Not that I typed it all out, I guess maybe thereās a small chance for me to disrupt the original air flow design and make things worse⦠but I think thatās highly unlikely. The space is probably 1000sq ft 4 ft or less and varying height
Hey, is there any chance of starting a separate thread about this stuff?
I wanted to chime in (still do), but then remembered this is the amazon thread, so didnāt want to āpolluteā it with too much off-topic stuff.
No idea how to move messages and keep them in the same order (maybe sb knows how?), and I doubt anyone would want to retype everything, so Iām up for any suggestions.
Or just tell me to gfy.
Thanks.
sb probably knows how to split a thread, but I donāt remember him ever doing so.
Maybe he has done so, and I just didnāt notice.
agreed.
maybe a separate
sock thread.
The Marbero 30w solar panel is down to $18.35 using code SL30MABED40

Solar Garden Gnome with LED Light $14.5 using code 3NUIQ73Q
Omg dude
Huh?
Just ordered one. $15.64 total and itāll be here Saturday.
Naw, gnomes are freaking creepy.
Well, except Zombie Gnomes. Those are awesome. And they reflect more the true nature of what gnomes actually are.
I got this guy and 2 others in the front window. The two smaller ones on the ends, one bigger one in the middle.
I dont need another one, but I need another one
