Some personal comments….

• Very nice design and cooling fins look good for this high-performance beast.

• I would have favored a forward clicky switch for momentary turbo.

• The stepdown temperature of 55°C is okay but I wish it could be set (by user) to a less conservative value (e.g. 65°C) to have longer runtimes on high modes.

Can you please post some pictures of the inside (driver, tailcap)?

Do you use doublesprings or bypassed springs for an optimized current path?

What 21700 cells will fit with this light (max. diameter and length, button top or flat top)?

-XT45 adopted forward clicky switch before. But now it has 5 groups of working modes and it could be a bit difficult to select a group with a forward switch, in this case, it is upgraded backward switch.

-Instead of thermal control, XT45 applies time control (30s). The advantage of time control is you can still access to high mode again after it stepping down.

-Pictures inside will be uploaded soon.

-not double spring, it is equipped with a large-diameter spring made from phosphorous copper—thick enough to run high current.

-Our design is based on standard size of 21700 batteries flat top. Button top will be a bit tight but I think it’s stil OK. But a 21700 cell with protection board will be too long to fit.

Good job on upgrading the modes Amutorch,on my XT45 I definitely found the spacing very confusing. May I also suggest some higher quality O-rings? The O-ring on my lens is partly melted from staying on turbo for a few minutes. Other than that it’s pretty good! I might be interested in a SST-40 version now.

Who uses strobes anyway?

I was interested in becoming a Distributor to have the XT45 as a gun light but 30 sec Turbo is too short and the need to press again to reactivate is inconvenient.

Thanks for your advice. XT45’s strobe mode is hidden —- it won’t be activated unless triple click the switch quickly.

max current is around 18.5A. Its current is upgraded with more stable performance.
