Looking for a 5mm 1xAA LED twisty, basically a larger Sofirn C01. Any recommendations? Bad CRI is fine because I have a bunch of Yuji 5mm LEDs that I could swap in. Thanks!

Slightly harder to find nowadays, but the Gerber Infinity Ultra should be what you are looking for. It’s been discontinued for a bit, but there are still a variety of online stores that still seem to have some stock.

What about a jetbeam mk1? That’s a pretty bright little light. And a nice beam. Takes aa and 14500.
You could also use the lumintop tool as 2.0 as a twisty if you leave the switch on or the convoy t2
5mm LED, as opposed to SMD LEDs like in the other lights you mentioned.

So just a single emitter? Is there any examples of lights like this? Can you just choose a host you like and swap the emitter? That’s what I did on a couple convoy t2 14500 lights and a convoy s2+
