Just won an x9 for 19.99 and 13.49 shipping…good deal…look forward to testing it out vs my 980l
I see that a few auctions on the X9 have reappeared on eBay, but all with starting prices very close to Buy it Now and no bids placed.
Perhaps the seller has been disappointed with the outcome of some past auctions that were started at $0.99.
I recieved one I got from eBay today. Put an 18650 IMR in it and turned it on and everything worked fine. Then I pulled the tailcap off and hooked the leads of my DMM up to check the current draw. I starts reading about 2.4A and starts creeping up. At 2.8A I heard a faint pop and the current shot up to 5+ amps. The light was still working, but I immediately yanked off the leads. Looks like its going to need a new driver.
At that time there were auctions going on, and I won one at 28 USD and change.
That seems to be over now.
