Hallo…Maybe someone can help..Iam looking for budget watches digital…something like casio has…But with PERMANENT illuminating display..Sadly i have new friend-my eye glasses…So i need new watches which are still shiny…![]()
The problem with having it permanently illuminated is that it’s going to absolutely hammer the battery. Maybe you’d have better luck with an analogue?
yes thats the problem…i dont know…i know only digital )
But i think now dont need permanent display, but SURE i need a very bright dispaly if i push the light botton…My Casio is not very bright..Push the botton and i see whats the time…Thats all…But no epxeriences with budget watches
If you need it to be bright, you might be better served with a smartwatch or a Garmin. Unfortunately, neither option is cheap, and I certainly wouldn’t trust buying either from AliEx.
Timex has “Indiglo,” which is generally brighter than Casio’s lighting.
That said, I only get Casio anymore because I think that Casio (especially their G-Shock series) is more durable than Timex.
Also, I don’t know if there are any real Timex on AE. ![]()
Thanks for the reminder to update this thread. I had forgotten that it was mine! ![]()
So in the nearly six years since I started it, all my kids ended up with Timex watches, mostly Weekenders or Expeditions. I think I ended up going that route due to the Amazon return policy and being happy with the quality after my first kid got one. They hold up better than I’d expect for $30 watches. The main thing was the plastic watch crystals getting all scratched up. Most held on until I just didn’t feel like changing batteries but a few died other deaths. One stopped after taking a hard hit. Another took on water from accidental wearing in the shower. (On the off chance anyone didn’t know, the stated water resistance of a watch does not apply to hot soapy showers.)
My older two have since graduated to Bertucci watches. I let them each pick from a few different options and coincidentally, both skipped the DX3 and went right to the smaller steel models.
I get screen protectors for all of my watches. ![]()
