wierd, first time i seen that small sun t13 being mentioned when asked about throwers. i kinda like it. think ill buy one. so im guessing it wont outthrow a stl v6 or hd 2010, but hows the flood/spill. is it bigger than those two ive mentioned?
and the hd 2010 is the furthest throwing single cell that i know of.
I ordered it last night when I made this post, and received a shipping notification this morning. I’ve always had good luck with Price Angels…hopefully this will be the real deal.
I thought that was all pretty funny too…but for $7, the worst thing that will happen is I’ll have a spare SK68. Nothing to lose, as I was going to order a standard 1 mode anyway.
I got the light and it’s not an XM-L…no shock. It’s a 3 speed…5 if you count on and off haha. The worst part is that it has a hollow pill, like some of the random ebay models. That being said, it’s rather bright on Eneloops, much brighter than the silver ring 3 speed models. Oh well, no loss, just try a different model. It would be great to update these to XM-L, I love my modded version with hi-med-low.
Shouldn’t you be asking for your money back? False advertising is false advertising and you likely would have gone elsewhere had it not being claiming an XM-L.
Hello. This is my first post, but won’t be my last. I found this thread some time ago looking for a 5-mode variant of the SK-68. I just wanted to let you know that I found, at site miniinthebox.com , a new-looking light called “UltraFire SK68 Focus Adjustable Zoom 5-Mode Cree XM-L T6 LED Flashlight (700LM, 1x14500/1xAA)”, which is listed for $15.89.
Now, I can’t say for sure whether this is legitimate, but looking at the posted pictures, 1) it looks like a picture of a real light and not a factory or marketing picture, and 2) the emitter does look like an XM-L T6. That’s an exciting development, but if possible I’m even more psyched about the presence of a real low mode. Has anyone happened to purchase this yet?
Another one I want to try, but not at the ridiculous price, is the Tank007 TK-737 with a T6 and 5 modes. When the light with a lesser emitter often goes for $15-16, I can’t see getting ripped off by paying $30.
i sort of expected it to be either a XR-E Q5 or a XP-E.
Its getting a little crazy now that some of these Chinese sellers are claiming even bigger emitters and even worse bogus outputs than their cheap lights really have, to try to sell them in a market that is already flooded by cheap, crappy clones of everything imaginable.
