Anyone know of any squatty budget 4AA, muli-emitter lights?

I completely agree about the TR-3T6 and AA's. That's one of the great features of the light. Mine has always seemed just as bright on AA's. Even when I run it on three 4/3AF's (Ni-mh that are 17660's), it seems just as bright. I even proposed that idea to my wife when she first asked me to help. She made it very clear that stable tail standing is a requirement.

That is a good looking light phsinvent. I imagine it will run fine on 3 and 4 AA's/AAA's. 4AA's may not fit if the tube diameter is less than 1 3/8". Probably just need an adapter to prevent sideways rattle and a spacer to make up for the shorter length of the 3AA or 4AAA holder.

I also agree that my wife will need to bring her friends expectations down prior to giving her the light.

Good stuff folks. Thank you for the input.
