Anyone know

Anyone know why we don’t seem to see copper flashlights around??

Because there’s only one Old-Lumens.

From what I know, it’s easier to machine aluminum than copper. And probably more people will buy a black light, it’s neutral. Kind of like how all the homes in the suburbs are earth colors.

Copper is indeed a PITA to machine, and far pricier than aluminum.

Copper with respect to aluminium is:
-Expensive
-Corrodes badly (becomes dirty)
-Is softer and (much) heavier

Its main advantage is it transfers heat twice as fast,
but if this was so important (and i’m not saying it isn’t just that aluminium transfers heat very well) we wouldn’t see as many titanium flashlights. (titanium transfers heat 10 times worse than aluminium)

You could always make your own...

Watching Justin has me sorely tempted to do just that. Let’s see…

Tnx for the info match might just play around with that idea!!

Yes I like that very much, Match. Inspiring.
