Anyone on Reddit?

Just hire a photographer then? duh

How much money do you think one makes by posting a review on BLF?
My total to date wouldn’t buy a penny candy.

I browse r/discgolf .

I enjoy looking at memes on Imgur .

As GenuineFloridaMan .

I'm not getting paid for my reviews, and I'm on a fixed income so I'm not going to hire a photographer.

Just hire someone to proofread your posts so that you don't post something stupid (like this sentence that I am writing.)

Duh indeed.

There's what people say, and how they say it.

If someone were to say "How about hiring a photographer", that's perfectly reasonable.

But giving anyone attitude (for no apparent reason) clearly isn't.

puglife2 and raccoon city please take it down a notch.

I share images here all the time that I didnt take myself and do not own.
I never claim theyre mine. They just help illustrate whatever im talking about. Visual aids.

Am I not even supposed to do this?

Or this?

Or this?

Or this?

Or this?

I cant find any examples to link, but I’ll often screenshot things to circle parts of the photo to then share here so I dont have to try and describe in text form what I can just show with an image…
People are always sharing funny images from around the internet in the Daily Joke thread.
Is Image Boss illegal then?

I have to point out that Reddit is a hub for sharing copyrighted work. It has at least one subreddit dedicated specifically and unambiguously to digital piracy. Apart from that, many subs are essentially image-sharing communities where posters do not own what they post and many (most?) of these subs have no rules about crediting the artist or photographer.

I agree that getting permission for photos used in a formal review is best-practice. It’s just deliciously ironic that we have champions of IP rights coming over here from Reddit. Stop supporting the platform of Reddit if you disagree so strongly with the kind of behavior in enables.

I don't know if this was intended for me, but I don't have a problem with getting permission to post images in a review.

I just didn't know that I had to a few days ago.

Now that I know, I will do it in the future.

I don't like everything about Reddit, but I will be using it so that I can buy and sell knives.

Of course, I like to talk about flashlights, knives, watches, etc. so I'll try to have fun over there while I try to get my numbers up.

It’s for all the White Knights of digital IP who came here from Reddit. If they really feel that strongly they should leave reddit permanently because their engagement translates into money for Reddit. As I said in my last post, Reddit turns a blind eye to organized piracy. If these people care so much they’ll get off that platform.

Oh, okay.

Thanks for that explanation.

I misunderstood your post at first.

You make a good point.
