Battery enigma: Trustfire Tr3 T6

I read a lot of forum thread on it… But has never been said the last word.

The Trustfire Tr3 T6 can run on three or two 18650 protected or unprotected…

Some say that with less cells the driver is more efficient…
Others say that with three cells the driver required less power, and so less heat…

What are the pros and cons of two or three cells?
Which configuration is better?

Grazie in anticipo

No one has the “solution”…

It’s about the same power input and output on both. Also similar with 4x AA nimh.

Benkie has a thread going on these flashlights that if your interested in reading will answer all your questions and then some.

How is possible the same power imput? With 2 or 3 cells?

Thanks guys!

power is voltage*current. The light uses less current with more voltage (more cells).

Thanks agenthex! Forgive my ignorance
