The BossHiFi B8's are very nice.
If you want more bass and better comfort, and you can overlook the potential durability issue, the Marantz MPH-2's are better and cheaper.
I wish I would have found them first.

$32 on eBay

$29.99 with free shipping, thanks I ordered one!
There was a mini price war between two eBay sellers.
You got the lowest price of the day (that I saw.)
It's back up to $39 now.
Thanks. Got one at this price as well.
I got some today with a Cyber Monday code bringing them to $27. I figured I had to get these at that price just to…. have.
I've been listening to the Marantz MPH-2 since yesterday.
They're the best headphones I own.
I only have three different over-ear headphones, and they're all very good.
I don't have any duds, but for comfort and sound quality, I like the Marantz.

I thought $40 plus tax was a good deal, then I got $9 back from my credit card because I did a "price rewind", but $27 takes the cake!
By the way, there's something strange with the ISK MDH9000 clones that I forgot to mention.
They have proprietary audio cables.
The only audio cable that I know of that fits in the headphones that isn't proprietary are these for $12 in the U.S.:

These are what I use, even though they are expensive.
Here's the Amazon listing for them that has customer feedback:

Mine arrive tomorrow, hopefully they will be as good as the ones you got, looking forward to listening on them.
You can actually remove the locking mechanism fairly easily I’ve found a lot of people into modding cheaper headphones to suit their taste. Here is the mod, should be first post.
The Vmoda cables are good quality from what I can gauge so it’s money well spent at the end of the day. I will also be able to try these that I got for another pair that I have on the way.
I’ve been putting a lot of time into headphone research the past few days and for my own preferences the Marantz MPH-2 and it’s fellow clones are the best thing I came to so I’m excited to receive mine.
My best pair of headphones to date is AT ATH-M50, alas, they are packed away in storage somewhere - impossible to locate at the moment. I also have a ATH-M40x. Curious to see how these Marantz ones stack up against these.
Mine came in today. I must say, for the price, they are great. Build quality is reflective of the price, but they sound good and are more comfortable than my Audio Technicas. I was worried that they’d be very bass-heavy, but they are really not. Not sure if this will change over time or not.
I got mine yesterday, They are nice…!!! Thanks for pointing out the deal RC!
Nice link with the headphone mod Jtm94, I saved that link!
Pete which Audio Technica do you have? I was really thinking of getting the m50x, but these clones jumped out to me.
And no problem I like sharing information. I’m always looking into one of my obscure hobbies during my free time. It’s just happened to be headphones lately, haha.

Haha thanks I don’t know how I missed that.
I got my MPH-2 in today and they sound great! They aren’t as clear as my Grado SR60s, but they’re closed back and I didn’t expect the treble to compare. The bass is a lot punchier which I wanted and they are quite comfortable even with my glasses which I always worry about. Will take a few days of listening to really gauge how well these perform overall, but for what I paid these were a steal.
After reading this thread I’d love to buy the Marantz MPH-2, unfortunately the links posted here have all increased their prices. The cheapest I can find is $49.
I guess I will Google again in a few weeks.
The Marantz MPH-2 is back on sale on eBay for $38.75
Do a search for the lowest price on the bay.
Thanks for checking RC. I’m going to hold out for a price closer to AlexGT’s $29.99 though.
