Best emitter for throw?

I thought it would be an XM-L2. But, I hear talk of some XP series emitters giving more distance. Is it the XP-L emitter?

XP-G2, at least at higher amps. Below 3 amps XP-E2 is worth a look.

I am thinking about making a good thrower. I have a few lights that may be up for the task...

XP-L would be similar to an XM-L2. They use the same emitter die, as far as we know. Just packaged differently.
