Speeds seems to be ok, solid build, cap going on firmly. Tested on Dell Latitude 7300 i5-8365U

@DmK , here is your image. Seems to be doing great with large files. Somewhat disappointing with writing of random small files.

Pete, thank you. I know small files is bottle neck, not many of flashdrives goes over 10Mb/s.

Most of USB sticks handle well large files. Good ones can write 4k files over 50-70MB/s. That is what I call fast USB stick.

That Sandisk Extreme Pro that someone posted earlier claims to use solid state architecture. It’s not the smallest flash drive I’ve seen. I would say it’s the typical USB flash drive size.
However, if the below results are accurate, then it doesn’t really handle small files all that well either.

Nowhere close to an actual SSD.

So, if one wanted faster small file read/write speeds than the above Sandisk while keeping physical size small, here is one option:
This enclosure:
Plus this drive:
You get 500GB of storage, but it’s over $100.
You could almost get a 500GB Corsair Voyager GTX for that price.

That looks so tempting. I am little worried about how sturdy the lanyard would be. I prefer the drive have a hole for a keyring instead.
