I was going to ask who makes the P42 21700’s but I did some searching and found Vapecell had P42 which they claim are re-wrapped Molicell 30A 4200mAh cells. I got 2 for about $15au each. I’ve only spent around $200 in 2 days on damn batteries. :person_facepalming: Thanks. Now I only need 8x 18650’s & I’m done, then all my lights will have cells.
Yeah I think so, I’m not that great at working out my lights exact requirements. I mean there ain’t no point having a 35A low mAh cell to be used in a light that will maximum draw 10A. But some of these new single cell sbt90.2 really suck amps, Lumintop recconends a cell that is constant current 30A for the fw21x9l. Choosing cells for short tube lights is a little tricky. Like say the A/lux EA01s 4xXHP50.2 11k lm. Now what 26350 is gonna power that? While not a real useful sustainable light, it’d be a fun ‘wow’ light.
The 26350 only delivers maybe 10 amps. Turbo in the ft02s (probably same driver) is a bonafide 30+ amps (I tested it), so it won’t reach max brightness. Might get 3000 lumens out of it.
Part of the reason I created this post is because those are nowhere to be found and was looking for a substitute. The T50 were a limited run for Vapcell and currently they’re about impossible to get. Samsung 50S are also nowhere to be found. The 50G is almost as good and can still be found (at least for now).
Mooch tested them, they’re better than the 50E but worse than the 50G and 50S.
If they were brand new then maybe they would be able to compete with the 50G, but not likely to beat the 50S.
The 50G is probably the best one available now. Runners up are the 50E2/3 (but not really available) and the Tesla Sanyo NCR21700A. The rest are not as good for over 10 amps. Either wait until the 50S is available (wishful thinking) or Vapcell gets some and charges $16 per cell.
