best value quality 14500 batteries

I’ve been away from the flashlight/battery scene for a little while. I’m after a few 14500, preferable under 52mm in length. Ones that are based on quality cells like panasonic or sanyo would be preferable. Wheres the best place to pick up some of these? A quick look around, cheapest seems to be the intl-outdoor 14500. I’m not sure the length of these though

If you email IOS they generally get back to you very quickly.

If you’re in the US, member Kumabear offers keeppower protected 14500’s for $4.48 apiece plus shipping Not sure if he ships international

According to member HJK’s comparator, those and the outdoor ones are running neck ’n neck: your choice, or there are others you can check out at his site.

Hope this helps.

thanks for that

Are these Nitecores a contender? Brand name, trustworthy, but unsure of length.

Yup, same Sanyo cell inside.

I have the nitecore cell from fasttech, a nice cell measured capacity by me is about 760mAh. Nice cell.

Look here for comparisons.

the nitecore from fastech seems pretty good value. I might get one to try out first and see how they go…

Sanyo/Nitecore or AW. These are the best as far as I’m concerned. I wouldn’t spend money on any others.

more brands with that Sanyo inside: http://dampfakkus.de/akku_liste-nach-rohzelle.php?id=20

The AW isnt that good. All the Sanyo based ones are superior.

You’re welcome!

I thought Kumabear sourced directly from Keeppower?

According to HJK/s test, it features a Sanyo UR14500P

EDIT: Just checked Kumabear’s listing in the Commercial Seller’s section: while many of his protected Cells are Panny/Sanyo, he lists his 14500 cell as containing one from DLG

Yeah, I was referring to garrys post, asking about the ones from Nitecore. ;)

DLG doesnt convince me..

Want to buy 3 pair of 14500’s. It appears that the following is probably the best bang for the buck (decent performance for price). I know there are better quality cells out there, but they appear to cost more than the little added benefit. Anyone know of any better deals currently available?

EDIT: I picked the tabbed version tos bring down the price.

Trustfires from FT;

Less than the Sanyo’s, they have protection and no tabs to fuss with.
I have had great luck with these.
Thanks,
Keith
