BLF GT logo discussion.

Can you post a sample picture of how the letters would look like?

Here are some samples I been looking at from fontstruct, when you click on the font you like on the bottom there is a view button, you click it and select input text and just write BLF GT, so you all can see how it looks like, then I just print the screen and upload it here.

Here are my font choices:

#%&@^|}€³½!
Computer just crashed while i was about to save 2 drawings…
O well…
In due time, folks….

Keep up the good work Jerommel!!! I am sure your design is going to kick butt!

I know how you feel…
My PC crashed multiple times when making the GT, each time had to do multiple things all over again.

But it is well appreciated!!

Good info, I like some of those styles. If I had to pick one at first glance I would say I like either of the bottom 2 best. The bottom one kind of looks like a beam of light shining through the letters.

I have been talking to SB and the BLF font has been selected by him it looks like, so that is settled. BLF now has an official font of “Ubuntu bold” (as soon as get final approval from SB that is).

So just a matter of what font to use for the GT now.

For those saying using a lot of different fonts, I agree there are too many, I thought I made it clear those logos were simply a proof on concept, I have said multiple times that the fonts need to be selected. I saw no reason to mess with it until a final font was selected.

So now just the GT that is left.

Sorry to hear that, I also know that feeling.

SB selected the font for “BLF” moving forward as “Ubuntu bold” (still waiting on final approval), so at least that is settled.

Now just the GT to figure out.

I suggest we use this font for the GT part

That was also my thinking but in a quick google search I could not find an actual download for that font.

Do you know where I can get it?

I’m on my phone now but it’s from the link I provided in post 185 just search the name At Golovkin, you should be able to download it

I somehow missed that post when catching up this morning. Yep, I found it on there. I will try updating the logo with it later.

Thanks!

Okay folks, here’s some new stuff, click to view full size:

New font for “BLF GT”, based on Sans bold (flattened and widened).
I quite like the no B.S, style, but maybe it’s a bit dull…

Now for some photoshopping them onto the GT…

[/EDIT]
Having second thoughts on the new font, i think i prefer the Q8 font afterall…
[/EDIT]

Maybe run a poll and see who likes the Ford style GT and who likes a different font or just ask SB. There were quiet a few who liked thew Ford style and then quiet a few who disliked it, a poll could settle on one.

Replying as we speak.

The BLF font is set as “ubuntu bold” by SB himself.

We really need to send the logo tomorrow morning, not enough time for a poll. I am thinking that using the font that alex posted is the best compermise that has been suggested so far. It has a bit of sport, A bit of plain, a bit of style.

The lumintop word we can either use the ubuntu font as well or the regular lumintop logo font.

Nice work Jeroen!
I prefer the clear logo
(2nd logo, first image)

Or everything white in the same format

Still prefer this one which just need lumintop below the frame.

Hmm… More like Ford Steal…

Hmmm… Yes, it looks quite good actually (if i may say so myself).
The border around it really brings it together.
Kudo’s to BLF Q8 logo version “E”. :+1:

Putting Lumintop under it will ruin the ‘balance’ though… I tried, didn’t work out…
But maybe i’ll try again…

Ok, here is the latest version of the logo with the Ubuntu font selected by SB for BLF (the BLF Font is NOT Negligible, it is SB’s site, the logo is 100% his choice, end. of. story.) and the AT Golovkin GT font.

I used the ubuntu font for the lumintop as well since people complained about multiple fonts before.

With BLF now being settled, the last debating point is the lumintop and GT font.

I agree a border looks good but it would make the text too small, even without the border it is still going to be small.
