Looking forward to this light a great deal. Like my Finnish kaima Maukka, I also like the idea of being able to run the lantern with solar without having batteries in the unit.
I am wondering if this can be run at full brightness without it over heating? Being its less than 1k lumens, one would think its possible….
which brings be to another Q: did you by chance test how long this will run on max brightness?
Thanks for all the work (to the whole team), this lantern will make many people happy.
EDIT:
i see the solar charger being posted in this thread (ECEEN 10W) and curious if i can leave it plugged in the lantern without overcharging the batteries?
With the standard 5-channels enabled, (factory settings) i got past 12+ hours on maximum brightness on four 3200mAh cells. That equals to a full weekend of camping of 100% output without charging. (though for most camping needs running it at 75~80% is plenty of light. You can leave the Eceen 10 watt solar charger plugged into the lantern 24-7 with no issues, as the TP5100 charger circuit in the lantern keeps everything controlled.
How hard would it be to replace the frosted lens on it, because i think if its easy enough, that could be another thing in the accessory kit. Like the ones you showed in the video
