*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

Let Angel Trumpets Sing!!!

Guess what I found in the mailbox a few days ago? An LT1. It is an expertly crafted, sharp looking piece of functional art. I’m guessing, but this looks to be hand made and tested, one unit at a time, which would explain why they are measured in their release to us. Ten years from now I believe the first 3k of these will be coveted by collectors worldwide, as the one that started it all.

Door-to-door 20 days. Generically and safely packaged. Full functioning. Batteries/Custom-Wraps by Amish Bill. Batteries come close but do not touch the naughty trim pot. Wraps are safe as well. I try not to screw the battery base on too tightly. Orange rubber baby buggy bumper won’t stay, so I Uv glued it and it ain’t going somewhere any time soon. I would like to see a bumper twice that size, given the weight of an LT1. Different colored ones to complement the upcoming colored lamps would be a nice tweak.

As of now the LT1 is the industry standard LED lantern to which others will aspire. I hope that BLF/Sofirn continue to collaborate on future design, thereby staying on top. I have a suggestion along those lines. Continue making/improving the existing issue for flashlight enthusiasts. Create a second one for the general public without anduril: On-low-medium-high-off. All emitters the same. No button led’s. Goof proof, kid proof, neighbor proof. That’s the lantern to make you rich.

I can’t tell you how relieved I am to soon be free of burning hot camp lanterns, and all the little finger burns to deal with while in the great outdoors. No more propane, powdered mantles, melted camp gear, etcetera, etcetera. Ah, life just got a little easier. Power out at the house? When I get another three of these we will be fixed there too.

Accessories in order of greatest desire:
Double padded cordura case able to also hold some accessories
Red LED for night vision concerns. No ramping needed by me. On-Off
180 degree shield
Wide screw in base, maybe 4” for stability

The light pattern put out by this lantern is phenomenal. It is even illumination across the entire beam angle. So far no bad habits from the lamp, only from me while I run it all the time just to gaze at it. Oh, it’s rechargeable. Play it again Sam.

My congratulations, in no particular order of importance:
Toykeeper
DBSAR
Barry
Sofirn
And all the other contributors whose names I don’t know

Thank you

Good idea & point. :+1: I will try to do a full instructional video this weekend coming on the LT1, its Andruil programming features, operations, features, etc.

Here is a great place to learn all about your lantern. It’s fun to play with, and I’ll hazard to say you can’t break it.

Link to online LT1 manual

The manual that came with the LT1 is not great, the one I linked to is more comprehensive.

Enjoy! Also, 7 clicks from off is your friend in terms of changing the way the button illuminates.

Made me start thinking: why not ship the lanterns with a simplified muggle mode activated?
Those who want and can handle the full Andruil can easily activate it too. (No need for more versions of the whole lantern, only raises cost and in the future some users might want to improve what they have.)

Trust me, they will play with it and finally come back to us for help: “how do I get back to where I started?” :person_facepalming:

Personally, I think Anduril UI is easier to understand than NarsilM UI.

Thanks! I’ll be looking forward to it! Ps, I don’t even know what andruil is. I’m guessing it’s part of the ui. Anyway, I’ll be looking for a I instructional. Thanks so much!

My 8 year old said “what’s that? ”. I told him, I don’t know how to use it, but its the best new lantern in the world and we are some of the first on the world to have it…blew his mind:)

The folder of full manuals that SBSLIDER posted a link to will give you all the ins and outs.

If you just want a simple cheatsheet, one of the files in the DIY link (see my sig) has a cheatsheet you can print and keep rolled up between the batteries. :+1:

Are we getting a PM or email?

When they have more ready to sell, the next folks on the list will start getting notifications.

If you’re on the list, and you have your PMs enabled, the only other thing you need is patience.

Thank you for leaving your post, as this will indeed help other people.

You can’t see these stickers if they are transparent and cover the entire metal surface as there’s no obvious edge between the sticker and the wrapper. Every seller should use black or some other color.

Using a #2 pencil or thin straw is a great support for rolling up the cheat sheet small enough to fit in the space between the cells. I tried wrapping around a cell, but there is not enough space, which is probably a good thing.

Ok awesome thanks. I’ve been super busy at work and wanted to make sure I didnt miss anything. I have no problem waiting, just wanted to make sure.

I will explain in detail in the coming video.

The most fashionable night light in the street:

You can try to enable all the 7135’s and configure the ceiling with 130/150. With this you have a similar lumens in the top of ramp with 5x 7135’s and maximum power with double click, like others Anduril flashlights.

is there any chance for the 2nd batch......

Just so that there is no misunderstanding, yes, no, and maybe.

nice to see another with understanding

A chance to get on the GB list? or or of the batch codes being sent out? If you are already on the GB list, have patience, they are under production now, and they will build them before beginning to send out the codes, (so they can be shipped right away once they are ready.) Also see post #9127, page #305.

For anyone interested in USB-C docks, here is a reputable review of several types. I had no idea how expensive some of these are.
