*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

I finally got some family members together for a beachside bonfire. I brought out my LT1, for supplementary light. My sister, who is not technically minded, was floored by my LT1. “I want it!” I showed off the basic commands, then demonstrated the tint change and the blinkies. “Can you stop that button from flashing?” Well of course. After that, “Can I have it?” LOL.

I was thinking a better flashlight for her would be that low squat lantern, LT1s. What’s the general opinion here of it, compared to the original LT1?

Over on r/flashlight, some recommend it over the LT1.
Personally, I’ll wait for the gchart version.

I have the LT1S, but not any of the other LT1 variants.

The LT1S is very nice.

I really like the size and shape of it.

The UI is good enough for me, and seems to be just as good as (or maybe better than) the other UI's.

Months ago, Sofirn was talking about doing a group buy for the LT1S, but it hasn't happened (yet.)

I just ordered a LT1 from Sofirns Website. Which flashing pads / controller is used in the current lanterns?

Unfortunately he is out of business at the moment due to health issues

I’m aware of his situation. Unfortunately there isn’t really any alternative right now. I’m not sure if @gchart is still selling his adapters in the US. @thefreeman also made some improvements and I don’t know if @gchart integrated them into his version.

Hey guys! Not to take anything away from @thefreeman … I wish him all the best and hope for a speedy recovery for whatever he is facing.

I do still sell the UPDI adapters. thefreeman and I have kept fairly close communication with the improvements to these over the years. Ours are pretty much on par and and should work for any of the UPDI flashlights. We’re both using 4.5V and such for our most recent versions. The only noticable difference that I’m aware of is that he has elongated his adapter to help reach down into unibody flashlights. Mine is still the “normal” size.

I am located in the US. I do ship internationally. Though, shipping costs for overseas is a bit high: USD $11 for Canada and $14 for almost all other countries. Feel free to send a PM if anyone is interested.

I received a new LT1 with plastic cover in the flashing pads. Anyone knows how to remove it for flashing the last version? It comes with v.2022 of Anduril 2.

Solved. Two small holes with a hand drill and turning with nose pliers from Convoy. The double side tape is quite loose, it doesn’t need heat.
