there are already commercially available magnetic base tripod mounts.

It would just be a matter of testing a few out to determine the best for the job. 4x18650 are not going to be super light, but compared to a dslr with a lens on it, I don’t think would be an issue. People use these to mount gopro cameras on the outside of their cars while racing.

The lantern weights about the same as my D5100 with 55mm lens, so if its powerful enough they may work.

I used Jerommels GT Logo. He has the BLF from the Q8 logo.
So it would be consistent.

Does anybody know which font the text is?

I like the LT one too but two things.

  1. Won’t Lumintop complain about the Logo being too much like the GT one?
  2. LT = Lumintop. Who is supposed to be making this light? If it’s Lumintop then we are good.

I vote for the LT design with the lantern logo. I think it’s far enough away from the actual GT logo with lumintop’s rabbit to be worrysome.

However, if it makes everyone uneasy with LT being possibly confused with Lumintop, then how about BLF-UL (Ultimate Lantern) or BLF-ULP (Ultimate Lantern Project).

The BLF-GT logo was made up here on BLF, including the idea of putting the rabbit in the middle so it is not a Lumintop logo at all. It was derived from the BLF-Q8 logo that was also made by a BLF member
