BLF Q8 Carry Pouch.

Just look for a m4/m16 double magazine molle pouch. The Q8 fits nicely. I had several thanks to accumulation of a near-complete molle rig and on a whim tried it. Couldn’t imagine a better fit unless the sheath was made specifically for it.

edit: mine are a bit different and have velcro closures without snaps and elastic loops for shotgun shells but something like this should work.

I ordered these—black nickel finish. Amazon.com

From Ledlenser (Leatherman)

The size is M14

Nice. $5.50 and $6 shipping. Might try that. Found this grenade pouch on Ebay I might give a shot first. Oh hell, I may just grab both. Thanks shirnask.

This is what I use: Taktischer Militär-Camping-Rucksack für den Außenbereich mit Tasche für Wasserflasche Sale - Banggood Deutschland-arrival notice-arrival notice

Use these on all my soda can lights. One now has about 10 holes burned into it from an Astrolux MF01, turned on by mistake a few seconds.

I use a Nitecore TM26 holster for my Q8.

I use this camera lens case I picked up at a charity shop for the equivalent of $1.
There was enough space to put a layer of high density foam at the bottom and around the inside. You could throw it against a wall now and not damage the contents.

Tally-ho, looks like I got the same exact thing just from ebay instead. Works perfectly. Guy only had them in brown but it will work perfect for me. $7.50 with free shipping.

I ordered some from my last post. I think they’re the same as the ones you posted, but your link doesn’t work.

It still didn’t work due to the shallow threads, but I used a bottoming tap and now it fits appropriately.

Got a set of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQKJBJ4/ to try.

3 for 7bux, can’t beat the price. Quite excellent quality, though. I just ordered another 3pak. Figure I got plenty of goodies that might need some kind of storage…

The Q8 fits, but barely. It drops right in, but you need to tug the opening up around the head to let the Q8 bottom-out. You also need to let out the strap on the top flap pretty much to its maximum to get it to close (snap shut).

So, I probably wouldn’t use it as a carry-holster for the Q8, but am definitely using it as a protective case. Just make sure to lock out the tailcap so the light doesn’t accidentally turn on and set something on fire.

I’m sticking with Ozark as the vendor. Fast fast fast shipping (non-prime), nice followup email, they seem to actually care, corny as it might sound.

I was gonna jump right on it, Lightbringer, but now that I have a lanyard stud in the tripod hole, I’ll bet the Q8 won’t fit. :frowning:

Nothing short of a waist-bag would fit, then.

Still will fit a TK4A/SF11/TN4A other tomato-paste-can lights fine, with room to spare.

because you mention other diy trials i would recommend looking into making one from kydex. Pretty cheap and easy to work when you get a hang of it.
