I suspected something like this.... I looked at some of your knives (SRM)... your prices are substantially higher than other sellers, but I know it is hard to undercut the prices of whole companies as a 1 man enterprise.... anyways I wish your new enterprise success, since you always tried to be good to your customers... maybe you could specialise in products the other shops don't have, or even go into the medium priced flashlights, such as the N-Light and YEZL , so shipping won't burn all your profits.... I will let you know when I search for a flashlight/knife that the others don't offer or I think you can offer better prices... how about a "strobeless flashlight shop"-category that only offers multimode flashlights without strobes... these are still pretty rare
. . . . for pointing out something I had no idea I needed: Sanrenmu knives. I don't ever really need a knife (I EDC a little keychain swiss army knife though), but it was cool and less than 10 bucks shipped from Discovery Bargain.
The two things I always end up needing when I don't have them on my person are a sharp knife and a bright light, which is why I make it a point to always carry both when I leave the house. It sort of becomes second nature after a while. I have my car keys sitting next to my EDC knife and flashlight on the shelf and when I grab my keys, I almost instinctively take the other two items without so much as a second thought.
That's something I learned from a friend of mine who does the same thing: you bring the badge, you bring the gun. No exceptions. Bring the gun, you bring the spare mag as well. Wear the uniform, bring a backup gun. After a while, it becomes a habit and you hardly even notice that you're carrying a ton of stuff that you may or may not need that day. It doesn't matter if it's hot outside or if you feel like it, it's just something you do. And one day, it may save your butt.
I'd rather see a "budget blades" section under "miscellaneous" in the existing forum. And make the "budget dealers" and "mini Boker review" stickies. But that's easy for me to say.
Aside, I'm ready to pull the trigger on any or all of the following SRM knives - 763, 605, 704, 707, 723... too many possibilities.
