Received the Skywolfeye zoomie. Brightness is decent, tint is light blue of course, like the other XPE zoomies, but the switch is way too hard to activate and doesn’t work at all about half of the time. White reflector, no chrome. Didn’t figure out how to open the switch yet.
My Warsun AA flashlight was also very dim. The problem was that the driver had a totaly wrong value on the resistor. Correct one should be around R120. The led is a Lattice Bright and mine also has a very blue tint.
I also have received Dito lights, and it was great surprise for me, how well they are made, and how well packed.

Warsun zoomie arrived today. Uglier knurling, dimmer, but it works without issues. Switch is hard to activate in this one as well, fits into skywolfeye zoomie, but the light still doesn’t work correctly; i.e. it wasn’t the switch to begin with. If you half-press the button a few times the light switches off and can’t be switched on again with full presses until you unscrew the switch. Weird driver bug? Works now. Whatever.
Has anybody found any decent flashlight deals for tomorrow? I searched through a lot of items and categories but wasn’t successful. Either the prices were raised compared to before (and then discounted for 11/11) or I can’t find the real deals among all the flashlight listings.
I checked my purchase history and looks like at least half of the special discount prices are exactly the same as the previous normal prices. So they just inflated the prices before the sale.

My research revealed that this emitter is not very common because it needs 12V instead of 36+ and it has about 2500lm at 50W (seller doesn’t say this though). about 50lm/W. Not the best result (about 50% compared to a Cree CXA) but the price is fair. Good for people who have left-over PC cooling equipment and a 12V power source.
ps: quite a few people shopping on AE, get frequent failure pages and my wish list/cart won’t load up.

Pretty much looks like the heater end of some sort of generic 12V 900M station. Cheap but, of course, no temperature control -that's the reason for it just being 30W-.

Yea true you could basically get any soldering iron as long as its low voltage and add a driver and plug it into some batteries i guess.
I have some of these adjustable step down drivers. Sounds like a good project i also have some 18650 holders i can use. Just need an iron maybe a make a semi portable soldering iron.
