Would AA be better than Li-Ion batteries like 14650 if they are going to be in the heat?

I personally feel a bit more comfortable with NiMH (Eneloops) for something rarely used and stored inside a hot car. But for long runtime and temporary max brightness I wish there were more current options in this category:

Current options for 3xAA / 4xAA "soda can" lights?

Hi there, for those who are new to the high-performance flashlight world I think that 3xAA or 4xAA “soda can” style lights are still among the best options. They accept standard alkaline or NiMH cells and they’re as bright as some Li-Ion models but with less safety concerns. But they don’t seem to be very popular anymore. Are there any current options apart from the Lumintop AD01? And any opinions on the AD01? I can’t seem to find what color temperature it has, just that it has an OSRAM KW CULPM…
