Another recommendation for the skyray

I had the same problem as marcl and SolarForce said the price was 8.99 because the 'finishing is not as good'. They should at least put that information in the website. Even my fake UF504b from DD is better finished.
I would not buy a 8.99 old L2. It´s a lottery.

For the SR5, you just have to hold it yourself to appreciate its quality. It's the only p60 light I would play and roll through my finger without fearing it would fall. Because it won't. Very nice body, high quality switch (>4A easy), waterproof-tested, closest fit for P60 pill - complete package for $8.
On the other hand, I already dropped my L2 hard within a month of purchase and bent the head. It's not designed to stick to your hand is it? And I was really careful with it. This is the same design as that 504B.
And 501B, SKIP. Mine came from MF with everything wrong - crummy switch, bad waterproofing, uneven anodizing. It needed a lot of work to cater even 3A for MF 3mode drop-in. I baked it just to see three very different tones on the bezel, body and tailcap - confirmed mix-and-match mass production.
I have a lot P60 drop-in flashlights and sold some of them in the past: Solarforce L2p (blue and grey), L2 grey, L2 sand for $8,99, 504B (silver and black), 502B, 501B, Skyray SR-5 (dark grey and light grey). Past the L2x - now it's not avialable anymore.
The Solarforce are great and my L2 in sand for $8,99 is perfect. The skyray looks awesome (it's a clone of the Lumens Factory Seraph P6) and I like the rings (you handle it in the cigar-grip).
The 504B is also good (not as good as the L2, but good for the price - but it with a XM-L for about $15). Some parts are interchangeable with the L2/L2p. The head and the flat bezel ring fits great. The Tailcap fits ok but not perfect (you will have a gap).
I will never buy a 501B again (the quality isn't great) or only for a cheap moddig.
