If it’s an XML, it is pretty low draw but that may be heavily related to the C cells. Draw with good 18650s would probably be much higher. Draw will also vary by mode. I’d be surprised if stock high wasn’t 700 - 1000+mah when using good L-ions. But draw will change with a driver change, anyway.
See info here, and there’s a pic you can click on that shows up close what an XML should look like: Cree - Flashlight Wiki
You should be able to see the 6 sections and the 3 bond wires like in the picture - well, my eyes are still good enough do see them without a glass, but a glass helps. Or you could post the closest, highest res picture and somebody might be able to ID your LED.
That does sound like bad programming - again it is like my most recent purchase turned out.
Has anyone got a picture of the wiring for the small circular circuit in the headlamp section of this? The wires are quite flimsy and when I opened to check a fault, 3 of them ripped out.
There are 5 wires; 2 blue, 1 yellow and 2 others.
I have a cree headlamp, last time i used 2 x 18650 battery to it i saw smoke coming out where we put the batteries.
on the right hand of the board 3 wires are connected : 1 blue and 2 red, blue (dc -) and red (dc) are connected to the charger and the other red (IN) connected to positive terminal
on the left hand of the board 5 wires connected: 1 red (IN-) connected to ve terminal, the yellow one labelled as (OUT), white (Key),Red (L1),Blue (L2)
I wish to bypass the board and connect to the 6V battery directly. Any idea which wires should I connect directly among the yellow one labelled as (OUT-), white (Key),Red (L1),Blue (L2)
