Clamp meter

I don’t know the 204 but I am using the 210E for almost a year now and can highly recommend this device. I consider the ability to read low currents important.

I have the 210E as well. I’m very pleased with it. The readings compare favorably with my Fluke 189.

DC Amps

DC Volts

There is a madmax coupon for the 210 meter

Really nice meter and 100A is enough for normal use

+1 on both . Get 210E and ask madmax for a coupon (28-29$ final price i think) .

I bought the 210E and it’s wonderful
No regrets.
I saw it used in a djozz video I think, so I bought the same model.

I bought the UNI-T UT210E with a coupon from Freeme price was $28

Very nice little meter had it about 6 months.

Thanks for the information :+1:
I think that I will get the 210E but I will pay the extra $8 & get it from ebay UK as if I get it from China it will be at least 3-4 weeks before I get it due to Xmas & New Year.
From ebay UK it will be with me by Wednesday 21st
Thanks again.

I am also looking for a clamp meter. Can UNI-T 210E measure very low current from lighted tailcap?

Yup, like .01 A or around there iirc.

Oh BTW I pulled the trigger on the 210E on ebay UK last night :+1:
Expected delivery 21/22 Decemeber

This is the lowest amperage reading I could get with my fan cooled load tester. Still fairly accurate.

Lighted tailcap takes much less current so not usable for this purpose.

Agreed. What do you expect for less than $30. The load tester I built has a cooling fan in circuit. That’s the readings you see on the displays. I’m going to put a bypass switch to shut the fan off when reading low currents. I’ll do that tomorrow and do another test.

I built this load tester to load test power suppies after I fix them. (top unit)

Lower currents you can always measure with a shunt resistor
I=U/R

also agreed. I don’t think the measuring method clamp meters use is reliable at that low current in general. I use my clamp for high current, normal DMM for tiny current.

Well, “your wife” chose well getting the 210E. … :+1:

Naaaah, this hobby is certainly not an addiction. How could anyone possibly think that :person_facepalming: …. :money_mouth_face: … :money_mouth_face:

The Fluke 289 was calibrated less than a year ago. The 210E was zeroed before taking this measument.

Even at that range it’s starting to get off. I’ve tried it on my illuminated tailcaps before, it usually just says a big fat 0. The 210E is a great meter, totally worth the money, but clamps are not for every situation.

What I like the most is of UT210E is the support of AAA instead of regular 9V cell. My eneloop batteries still works after 6mth.

I love the 210E, I use it mostly for checking AC circuits and DC motor controls.
