Clamp meter

I love the 210E, I use it mostly for checking AC circuits and DC motor controls.

Have you tried using the clamp meter without other random wires running directly under it and actually putting the wire straight through the clamp and not at an angle?

When measuring currents that low, any residual flux in the surroundings can easily influence the readings of a clamp meter but not of a directly wired multimeter.

The black - wire wasn’t connected to anything, but the red + was. I’ll try it again and post it if there’s any difference.

I’ll make new longer cables with banana connectors later today to keep stray live wire flux away while testing. Thanks for your input.

You’re welcome, looking forward to see if that helps make it more accurate.

You could also wrap several loops of the measured wire through the clamp and divide the result by the number of loops.
