hank:
I just noticed this comes with a “UV Pass filter” – “Special Glass allow UV pass with double Side AR Coating Lens” and it looks dark in the picture on the web page. Anyone know for sure if this is really an effective UV-only filter? If so, I guess I want one just to get that (and wish I could buy more of those separately) – I’d been wondering if any of the UV-pass filters out there fit regular flashlight openings.
I tested a ZWB2 uv-pass filter recently, I have rebuild a blf-a6 with a 365nm led and this filter and no significant amount of visible light passes it while being very transparent for uv.
disclaimer: I could have sufficed by just remarking: yeah, it works fine, but I can not resist doing a proper test, even for a simple optical filter [image]

In the the double-UV light group buy, this 20mm diameter, 2mm thick ZWB2 filter was discussed as a way to get rid of the large amount of visible light that chinese 365nm leds (and the Ledengin LZ1 365nm is just as bad) produce as an unwanted by-product. Being 20mm diameter it fits in the Convoy tube-style lights as replacement lens…
