Simon couldn’t have used a better host than the Convoy BD04 for a zoomie and made a wise choice. I recently did a review on the ThorFire BD04 USB Rechargeable Flashlight, which is a cousin of the Convoy BD04. I believe that the host are made by the same OEM which would explain the similarities and quality we have seen in the BD04 and C8 models. Awesome machining and finish.
The ThorFire BD04 has some meat to it and feels good in my hand and pocket. It doesn’t have that cheap look and feel that most zoomies have.

Knowing that the host and the Nichia LED quality is superb, the Convoy BD04 UV is a must have light and you couldn’t find anything better anywhere near the price Simon is asking.
Maybe the Nichia can be a option in the new Blue Convoy S2+ when Simon releases it for a non zoomie UV light. Did you hear that Simon?
