【convoy】Golden S3 available now

Simon,
We talked about the possibility to made 3535 and 5050 size 3V Leds from Getian at ~1800k Cri 90 R9 >60,for me is enough.
Important would be negative Duv at very low current and blue peak as low as possible.

My M21e just arrived!

So far I like this a lot. My first ramping Convoy and I now understand the comments here about the odd speed, but I don't hate it.

The fit and finish is typical Convoy perfect. The style is nice and it's a little smaller than I thought it'd be, but not really small. Almost exact same size as Astrolux ft03 mini.

Can't wait for night. And I grabbed a 4000k xhp50 to throw in it this weekend to see the difference in throw!

Will report back once I've tried it out.

nice work Simon!

oh - Texas Shooter- my xhp70 does turn off all the way. But it does it Very Slowly. I thought it wasn't going to but it does.

I also received today my M21E 4000K version, but there is strange yellow artifacts and dot at spot. When I removed reflector and I tried to view LED beam against white wall I can’t see that yellowish “thing”. I don’t know is that normal for XHP70.2 diode at all. Because that is my first XHP70.2 light I can’t compare it to another one.

Driver is out of stock currently, it will be available after two weeks

fanrastic!

Simon, have you heard anything from Luminus about an update to the SST40, as in a gen 2 or dot2 version? Some other shops on AE claim they exist, and Luminus is very odd in how they pre-release products well before presenting documentation or public marketing. Figured you might know or could ask.

Thanks

I bought some of these in 26mm and they solved all battery recessed positive terminal issues. Now they come in 26mm, 21mm and 18mm sizes. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003318519001.html

I was thinking about semi-permanently affixing them to cells with hot-melt glue as a way to improve a flat-tops vulnerability to drops, recoil, and other impact that can/does dent cells. Limited applications I’m sure, but it’s definitely something I’ll do for my gun lights and heavy-duty use lights.

Simon is on the roll

Nice! It seems the world of flashlights is getting more and more colorful. Olight, Sofirn, Acebeam and now Convoy offer more and more different colors.

It was about time!

SST40.2?
The SST40 currently on the market is actually SST40.2

Hi Simon, are the XHP35 based lights no longer being made as the LED is out of production? Or are they just temporarily out of stock? For instance this L21B variant: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002886398690.html

You mentioned that the XHP35.2 LED shows strange/bad results in your testing… is the emission pattern maybe not a good match for flashlights or just a focusing issue?

Thanks!

Has anybody who placed an order lately been able to successfully interupt the payment processing on AE? I used to be able to exit paypal while checking out and have the order submit but not process payment. Couldn’t do that this time.

Barkuti? :innocent:

Hopefully, I can still get a couple M21B hosts for XHP35 HI? I’ve been waiting to order until I move.

I did it about two weeks ago but I haven’t been able to even on different browser and device types… sellers don’t seem to know yet, two of them asked me to use that method… Placing an order without paying right away was very useful …

Ive put off getting one for a long time, guess i better order one. and i better order a bunch more of the LED's... damn that sucks to hear..

There's always a way. It should still work. Believe it in a stronger way, visualize it.

As a workaround, with AliExpress application versions 8.3.0 (8.3.0 on Uptodown.com) and below you can still use the good old “other payment methods” option.

Their website needs some fixes, just submitted a related report many hours ago. I may suggest the return of the other payment methods option.

I also need fixes. This of course is another story, but @#$%. We'll see.

Simon, I missed previous copper S2+ editions, so I wonder are there any plans for another run this year?

A new run of copper S2+ would be great, especially if Simon could stock some 219b 2700k…
