The Cree looks better indeed! At lower output (1%/10%) the sft40 is green, only at 100% it is pure white. Now I’m eyeing for a xhp50.3 hi.

I don’t, but information suggest that the TIR in IF22A is deeper than the one in m21h.

Hi! After a year of periodic smoke, the b35am 4500 burned out, replaced it with xhp50.3 hi hd 4000, I didn’t like the shade and brightness at all, what should I change it to? 519a to 6A? (with driver, of course) host s21a

The 519A offers you very little past 4A, and 6A is definitely past the point of likely failure. You would need a 5A (or below) driver, or go with a XHP50.3 HI R9050 version to use with the B35AM driver.

If I remember correctly the B35AM driver only has 2A current. For a 50.3 HI that is being seriously underdriven.

The B35AM 17mm is 2A, 20mm is 2.2A and 22mm is 2.4A according to the listings. Not really sure why they’re all different.
I absolutely love my FC40 M21H / M26D, the 5000K Has Duv=-0.0020. Only thing is the FC40 side clicky driver/firmware in mine doesn’t have the shortcut from turbo back to last level.
Maybe the size of the inductor.

FC40 5000K is just a truly lovely emitter. It’s one of my absolute favorites, and I tend to pick it anytime it is an option.

@Simon_Mao will you be offering any lights with the XHP50.3 or XHP70.3 HI 90+ CRI in 5700k? From what I can tell, you only have up to 5000k.
70.3 HI has 5700k, he just recently added it and it is supposed to be a good bin.

If they are, I’d guess it’s cuz the bigger drivers would generally be placed in bigger flashlights with better thermals so the b35 can be pushed a little harder.
