Don’t worry, you’ll like your light. The biggest problem with the Convoy lights is that they’re like eating cashews - you always want just one more. I truly believe they (All of them!) are the best value for price on the market today.
But you might as well start studying soldering irons and emitters and drivers, because you’ll be digging around in the ‘guts’ before you know it.
Don’t say you weren’t warned. These things are so addictive they should come with a Surgeon Generals warning label.

Dave, if you want to have your cake and eat it too…look into a LD1 driver

Since I don’t know much at all about modding a flashlight I figure the best way is to ask the pros. This way I can find out good sources for parts, tip and tricks etc in addition to the info I’m gathering by reading various threads.
