4x18A and SBT90.2…
I want one.
Looking forward to this. Should hit around 370kcd if driven hard.
Please, 3 x 21700 using flat top batteries. 21700 cells will get more attention in terms of developing high drain cells.

Hello Simon.
Please advise if you are planing to update L6 or L21A using SBT90 diode and what price will be for both? I think many people will buy L6 with SBT90 for reasonable price 70-80 USD or L21A for 60-65 USD.i’m ready to use 4X18A or 3X21700 host to install SBT90.2
3X21700 host will be great.

Um…btw, I just posted the Z1 review, so you can check it
Convoy Z1 - Convoy's first zoom flashlight (well, it was clickbait, actually the second one) 3 in 1 review. At the end there will be a summary for those who like only particulars, in each topic I will bold the key sentences for those who read a little more, and a long waffling for everyone else. Enjoy! The only issue with using flat top cells in a 3x21700 light is that inherently those designs have a “ring” for the driver (see: SP36, Q8, MS06 etc) - it’d need an adapter like the one in the 4x18A with brass slugs to work. I’m all for that though! (I still want to buy that adapter by itself……)

Dont worry ,i have adapter for 3*21700, too

High drain cells won’t be necessary with a single 90.2 in this light. Turbo would only be about a 2C discharge rate

Thank you, the idea of some triple 21700’s is encouraging. A Convoy 4X18A or 3X21A flashlight gives a few great LED options like Luminus SBT-90 or triples.

Awesome! There are only few 21700 button top cells on the market, mostly proprietary batteries with a PCB from Imalent, Klarus, Acebeam etc.. These batteries are very expensive, though. So, let's please stick with support for standard 21700 cells that are flat top or even with a recessed top (see "Tesla" batteries sold by Vapcell). Thanks for the great work, Simon!
Just received S21B W2.1 I’m impressed!!

Looks really nice. Apart from the design of the 2, is there any difference in beam profile?
Later i’ll post beamshots.

So that’s the new Convoy’s grey on the S21B ?
A different shade of grey compared to S2+’s.
That looks gorgeous :+1:

Hey, sorry for my lack of knowledge :person_facepalming: , what is W2.1 ? Is it another osram emitter?

Emitter is CULPM1.TG, Osram Boost or on short W2.1
It’s a slang but much easier to gollow numerous emitters.
”New” grey is i think the same as previois models, S2 and S2+ are similar to S21B.
On the other hand S21A looks bluish to me. But i don’t mind, actually i like it. It remind me of old times and Surefire HA mismatch.

I think someone already pointed out how expensive SBT90 is, so basically you could get 2 hosts for the price of 1 LED.
Simon Mao:i’m ready to use 4X18A or 3X21700 host to install SBT90.2
I want one.
That’s going to be the first Convoy to break the $99.99 barrier

Convoy L21A cost is 31 USD, SBT 90.2 around 35USD in that case cost can be 75-80.
Most likely need R&D for new driver, and a new reflector… see what happens I guess
