The 5A dual fuel driver is brand new, Simon just released it.
I didn’t realize he was installing it in lights, last I heard he was thinking about it.
Nevertheless, according to Koef3, the CSP that come in the TS10 can handle 2A each.
So with a 5A triple that’s only 1.66A each so you’re still good:
Yes I know. Sorry. I mispoke.
Yes, I have a triple T3 using an old TS10 mcpcb/optic powered by a 5A buck driver. It required a ~8mm thick spacer.
@Simon_Mao Can you add a link to the S21G host on AliExpress?
I would be interested in an approx 2-3a buck driver for the 18650 hosts, looking for good runtime and sustainable high in an EDC light.
This is of course assuming no stepdown issue.
@Koef3
The square hole doesn’t even appear to be centered in the gasket, I’d want a new gasket if it was mine.
Does anybody have thoughts on the round hole gaskets?
I hope various QC issues can be resolved, I want to buy Convoy again.
Also looking forward to hear what people have to say about 519a-v1.
IIRC if you go with the 5A biscotti driver you can select the group where 50% is the highest powered mode, should be around 2A or so.
The light switch currently on sale can be applied to T3 flashlight
I’m not going to sell flashlight hosts on AliExpress
Some buyers will think it is a complete flashlight, and I have received a lot of disputes about this before
GETIAN company did not have such a document, If you need some parameters, I can ask them
a new driver for this LED is in design
Although there is no led specification
But we can know the model of the led chip
Such as the brand of the chip and the exact model
So they sell electronic components without giving the customer any information about the electrical characteristics and maximum ratings? Just wow.
But thank you for your help Simon
But then… I need at least following information:
Manufacturer (who manufactures this LED GT-FC40?)
Max current (also max peak current)
Flux binnings
Thermal resistance
Voltage at binned current
Color binnings (CCT, duv on ANSI chart)
The 16mm lighted switch will work? Both metal and rubber?
I hope you have fun here, Rudakus!
The clear rubber boot that comes with the lighted switch is to large to fit the T3, but you can get the correct size clear rubber boot for the T3 from the Convoy store. It’s called " silicone white button for Convoy T2 T3 flashight" in the store.
About led packaged by Chinese manufacturers,You can’t completely refer to led companies such as CREE or NICHIA etc.
Many raw materials are variable. The most important raw materials, such as chips, there are many manufacturers in the world that can provide chips of different sizes and brightness. For example, the led bracket is made of aluminum alloy or ceramic.Including the silver paste under the chip, it also has many kinds. The wires used for welding are made of gold and aluminum alloy. Even the particle size of the phosphor and the viscosity of the glue.
In short, if a manufacturer needs a particularly large number of LEDs, the manufacturer will produce a corresponding specification.
Generally speaking, we only need to know the manufacturer of the chip and the specific model.
Hi Simon, Do you have any updates on the M21A with 22mm driver?
Not yet.
