Deal Alert - 1000lm XM-L C8 - $12.99 Delivered.

It is like others said, mine draws 3.2 Amps. Fine so far.

Has a deep reflector, C10 length. C8 reflector will not work.

Here are a few pics of the Rongli. (Originally had that worded as pics of my Rongli, but something just seemed Rong with that).

Like stevetexas says, the reflector is extra deep, and a C8 replacement will not work.

Overall, I would say the build quality is really good with the exception of the reflector, which works fine, but is rough.

Beam is perfect despite flaws in reflector. Super good throw.

Comparison vs. a 501B

Fully disassembled:

Close up of anodization and threads:

Close up of the reflector showing the roughness and a few flaws if you look hard enough.

Let me know if you need any more pics.

Thanks.

Thanks for the pics, it looks nice.

I wonder if all the reflectors are the same quality or not.

I received this Rongli manafont light today.

Havent examined it thoroughly yet, nor see output, but just to say its plastic reflector - my first XML with plastic reflector - damn…
Build quality is on the worse side - anndoization very bad, several nicks, inside full of all particles, everything is cheap. (o rings too). Switch is cheap, anndozations has some discolouring, lens rattles in one (I ordered two), Ill see how to fix it.
Rubber button on taiklcap is also cheap, more plastic than rubber, very thin.

I’ve just tested it outside, though its strong moonlight, full moon, very bright outhere (even its night, 9:17PM) - its throwy… But also good spill. INterestingly it has stornger spill in wide area around hotspot and little weaker soill also in wide area near the edge. I dont know what so say about tint, its different in the hotspot and different in the spill area.

Reflector proportions are good though, throws tight hotspot.
I measured 3,0A with my cheap MM, but I dont know do internals allow this current. I think one specimen has nicks, other not.

All in all, jnot so bad for the price - but plastic reflector??

Additionally: I think theres no danger for the reflector because it doesnt sit close to the LED. LED opening for the reflector is very wide, and it sits on plastic spacer wich is around the LED (but not partly over the LED like spacers in some recent C8 flashlights).

Buy it if you want something really budget and bright, but I would always put 3-4 bucks on top of it and buy Trustfire c8 with longer reflector (something like this, but metal) at buyincoins.
Its 2 classes above regarding build quality and “feel” of the light in general.

PS: KNurling is also very, very, very shallow)

On the body it says it has 1600 lumens, hehe, I like that

This is such a bad bad light. But it sure is cheap.

Found loose star!! Which way does the pill un-screw from? front or back?

I need to take it out and remount using some thermal glue…… and put some in the threads, I’m sure it’s none there………

I hope this last a bit as I think it will blow after short use?

Thanks in advance….
