Did I get a fake Hugsby Xp-1 ?

Doh, he beat me to it.

I’m a quick-draw Googlin’ fool

Here is a list of tomtop sellers. I’m sure there’s probably more. I have purchased real hugsby xp-1’s, xp-2’s, xp-11’s, xp-12’s, xp-13’s, and p32’s from, tomtop_auction, tomtop.mall, tomtop_deals, newgarden2012, antiquechina2009, and tomtop_sales of which I just placed an order for 5 xp-1’s, and shipping out of Dayton, New Jersey. I’m sure all of them on the list sell the real thing when in stock. Some of them also sell similar looking ones with the name Lixada on them.

Received some of these “hugsby” clones from Ebay (ordered them before I stumbled on this topic of course :person_facepalming: )

They look exactly like Pancamo’s (smooth reflector, no tailstand, probably fake led, etc), except they don’t have any branding printed on them. And they were not advertised as Hugsby XP-1 by the seller, so for ~2.5€ each it’s not too bad.

Not suitable for EDC but good enough for fetching a beer in the fridge in the dark

I got the one from GearBest and it is the real deal. For the price, I was pretty happy with it. My favorite for now is the Jetbeam Jet-u, I love how it looks, build quality, the tint is a bit neutral but it is great at illuminating close things. The Hugsby is more “throwy”, you can see a smaller spot and a dim ring around it and the tint is a bit warmer than the Jetbeam but somehow I don’t prefer it. The Hugsby is a lot larger (but still small) so it actually is better to hold. The Jetbeam even comes with a hand strap because it is so tiny. I’m happy with all the purchases I made based on this forum.
