Do you currently EDC a flashlight? If yes, what is it and how do you carry it? Do you intend to only carry this when you go camping or on other adventures?
Overtime your EDC system and items and how you carry will change for multiple reasons.
Look up the “three rules of caving”.
Understand the “two is one and one is none” saying.
Aka redundancy?
As for what I “EDC” an SRM 9201-GB (knife) and a no-brand flashlight that can be found by the name of XML T6 (zoomable with 3 brightness modes + Strobe + SOS, 18650 battery) . Unfortunately always starting in the brightest mode and being big and long means that its kinda hard to keep it in a pocket for everyday activities, so I mostly keep it in the car / a backpack and only take it when hiking.
It can be complicated to setup, but once setup, or just using the interface in simple mode as configured by the manufacturer…it is actually very simple to use.
I know that when I first saw the diagrams I was a bit intimidated. So I just used several lights as they came to me in simple mode for a few months. It was no more difficult to learn than any other four mode or ramping lights.
Lots of folks seem to think Andruil is complicated. Well in advanced mode the setup can be as complicated as someone wants it to be. Now that I know a little about it, I can make the changes that I want in my TS10s in well under 10 minutes. Usually without even looking at the charts.
