Emergency light for wife

Quite like the Thrunite T10 and right now there is the deal which includes free Ti (in another thread or at link below).

T10 has good mode settings (firefly if trapped in building with no power, medium will conserve battery, very decent high if needed) and the XPG is good at both throw and spill - Ti has great interface and might be loved more than the T10. One for the purse or office drawer, the other for keys and both together still in the budget.

If the lights are not used frequently, the lithium primaries are a good suggestion.

This is actually the second time I’ve recommended this light today, but my brother has a 300 LUMEN FOREHEAD BONFIRE from Bright Medic (currently on sale for $29.95).

It was designed for rescue personnel, in other words, exactly the scenario you’re talking about. It uses a real lens that has adjustable spread/throw from flood to spot. It takes 3 AAA, rather than your preferred 1 AA, but that means longer run time and better output. Also I think that the headlamp design would be preferable to a hand-held light in an emergency situation. Leaves both hands free and less chance of accidentally having it knocked away from you.

I was gonna get that like a year ago, but then I saw this, well a gray version of this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camping-High-Power-Zoom-160lm-LED-Headlamp-Head-Light-/120768675931?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c1e5fc05b

It looks like the same exact light too, except it’s only $5!
