Emisar headband is available.

This is the SC64w replacement I was looking for.

KR1AA release by the end of this month, the days are counting down

6 Thanks

Very exciting!! I will likely wait to see what a few people think to ultimately pull the trigger. Interested in which options people try out first!

1 Thank

I hear your request, I’ve been trying to add the magnet (not ring) in the KR1AA tailcap, so, the KR1AA tailcap will have magnet option, I’m afraid the release date will be delayed due to the magnet manfacturing.

19 Thanks

No worries, I can wait. Thank you for fulfilling my request!

1 Thank

Any estimate on the new release date?

1 Thank

Probably before GTA6 LOL

3 Thanks

If you manage to fit the magnet in there, it’ll be totally worth the wait. The KR1AA is looking amazing so far!

2 Thanks

Yes, the test shows that it works well with the magnetic tailcap when the battery is inside.

How about with the pocket clip? They probably don’t weigh much, but between the ferrous nature and the tiny bit of extra weight, does it hold stable even with vibrations?

Yes, it holds stable with pocket clip and vibrations.

@Hank_Wang please offer this new light in a raw aluminum finish. Gorgeous and practical!

3 Thanks

Yes, I hear you, there will be raw aluminum finish option.

Another +1 on a KR3 (18650). This would be great for light painting photography, and a good replacement for the FW3A series. I would hope that it retains the decent thermal mass of the KR series.

I would also like to see a KR1K. With some of the more high powered emitters, the KR1 has a pretty short runtime, so a 21700 would be a better fit than 18650s.

A single emitter, tail switch light with a head size in the 25-28mm range wouldn’t go amiss either.

How about a throwier option for the KR1AA like a 4000-5000k 719A? Maybe have to use the 50% firmware.

3 Thanks

On Jackson’s website (JLHawaii808) he mentions the light would be available around late November / early December.

1 Thank

agree!

I would also like a more throwy beam for KR1AA and I think the 4000K 719a, as I have seen in the Zebra SC65c Hi, would be an excellent option.

but there are a number of considerations, including that the 719a uses a 3535 footprint. atm the KR1AA uses a 5050 footprint mcpcb.

I would be fine with firmware limiting 719a output to 1.5A, instead of the full power 3A firmware of the KR1AA… If it would result in a more focused and throwy beam.

However, it seems to me the limiting factor for the KR1AA, in terms of throw, is that it uses a short floody Tir.

KR1AA does not fit a deep reflector the way the Zebra does. To fit a reflector would require a longer bezel.

atm one of the design features of the KR1AA is that it is essentially the same length as the D3AA. Thats quite an accomplishment, given the extra length usually required for a tailswitch.

I look forward to the KR1AA, for its smooth body, captive clip, tailswitch, and AA/14500 driver with NoPWM.. I dont even want the tailmagnet, nor the trit slot in the tailswitch.

But Hank knows his customers put a high priority on magnets.. Im very impressed he has managed to include that as an option in a tailswitch light.

Oh this sounds great !!

will the magnet tailcap be an option ?

Can’t wsit to send you money for it

1 Thank

yes

these are Hanks magnet options:

that means we have 3 choices

  1. No Magnet, $0 (tailcap included in price of light)

  2. Yes Magnet, we can order a magnet added to the stock tailcap for $1.99

  3. Extra tailcap w No magnet, $4.99

Note, Hank’s magnets are glued in, they are not easily removable, thats why if you want both options, you need to buy an extra tailcap.

2 Thanks

You forgot a trit option
